LEH, May 3: The Indian government has given the go-ahead for a Rs. 687 crore project to upgrade the power distribution infrastructure in Ladakh. The project will be carried out by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) and will focus on augmenting the power transmission capacity in the region, as well as improving the reliability and quality of power supply. This is a significant development for Ladakh, which is a remote and mountainous region that faces numerous challenges in terms of power infrastructure and supply.
