Jammu, May 4 : A delegation of Bhartiya Janta Party Kashmir Displaced District lead by Chand Jee Bhat ( District President KDD) & Hira Lal Bhat (Seh Prabari BJP Kashmir Displaced District) today called on Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants ) Jammu . The delegation apprised the Relief Commissioner about the burning issues facing the Kashmiri displaced community and a thorough discussion was held on each of the issues. The delegation demanded that the Ration slips of those migrants ,who are presently out of station because of one reason or the other, be given to their blood relations on production of his original migrant ration card ,without any hurdle or hassel. The worthy Relief Commissioner acceded to the demand and assured that there will be no any hard & fast rules for distribution of ration slips.While raising the demand for enhancement of monthly Cash assistance to eligible migrants, the Commissioner told that the proposal for enhancement of cash assistance has already been taken up with Union Home Ministry Officials and the case file has been sent to Home Ministry and the positive outcome is expected shortly. A thread bare discussion was held on implementation of Central Govt / UT Govt social welfare & other schemes in favour of the displaced community, the Relief Commissioner told that some welfare schemes have been implemented in favour of the displaced community where as as in some scheme implementation ,there are some income criteria obstacles, for the removal of which matter has been taken up with higher authorities & with Honble LG Sahab also. It was also demanded that the PMAY be also implemented in favour of the displaced community so that the deserving migrant families like poor ,ailing, widows ,destitute & handicapped ,who are living in rented accommodations can avail the benefits of PMAY Scheme and can heave a sigh of relief. It was demanded atleast 1000 PMAY Units be constructed for these most deserving displaced families. The Commissioner appreciated the demand raised and assured the issue will be taken up higher authorities. The delegation while thanking the Hon’ble Lt.Governor and Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner for the allotment of residential Quarters to PM package Employees at Baramulla, told the Commissioner that the process of allotment of these quarters must be quite transparent, in accordance to policy and allotment be made only to the package employees who are working in the that very District. The worthy Relief Commissioner assured that the allotment is being made strictly as per the policy of date of joining of the PM package employee in the District ,in a very transparent manner. It was also requested that the Relief Organization being the nodal agency of ECI for Kashmiri displaced community, must ensure that the maximum enrollment of the Kashmiri displaced voters is done.
The other members who were the part of the delegation were Moti Lal Bhat (District General Secretary KDD) Vimal Raina, Sanjay Bhat, Rajeev Pandita, Sweety Koul ( all Vice Presidents KDD) P.K.Bhat, Chaman Lal Pandita (both Secretaries KDD) and Rohit Mantoo (Social Media Incharge).
In the end ,the delegation thanked the Worthy Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner for taking personal interest in redressing the issues faced by the Kashmiri displaced community .
