Jammu, May 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir expressed unwavering determination to propel the region to unprecedented levels of progress and development. He emphasized that no force in the world could impede the UT’s path towards peace, prosperity, and growth. During the inauguration of Jambu Zoo, Sinha highlighted the positive transformations occurring across the UT, comparing the changing landscape of Jammu to that of Kashmir.
Significant developments were cited, such as the establishment of the largest zoo in northern India, covering 3200 kanals of land and costing Rs 62.17 Crores. Sinha also announced upcoming projects, including the creation of a riverfront along the Tawi River and the inauguration of the Bala Ji Temple on June 8. The LG called upon the people of Jammu to play an active role in contributing to the region’s advancement, as the administration works towards shaping its destiny.
The newly inaugurated Jambu Zoo features a diverse array of animals, scenic viewpoints, an amphitheater, a souvenir shop, parks, nature trails, refreshment points, and BOVs for convenient zoo visits. The Jammu wildlife department has declared free entry for the first week.
