New Delhi, June 5: The number of new Covid-19 cases in India has reached 174, bringing the total tally to 4.49 crore, as per the Union Health Ministry. The active cases have decreased to 3,193, reflecting a positive trend. The death toll has risen to 5,31,882, with two additional fatalities reported, including one reconciliation by Kerala.
The active cases currently account for a mere 0.01 percent of the total infections. India’s impressive Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.81 percent, indicating a significant number of people recuperating from the disease. The total number of recoveries has surged to 4,44,56,681, while the case fatality rate stands at 1.18 percent.
Furthermore, India has administered an impressive 220.66 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine nationwide, according to the health ministry’s website. The ongoing nationwide inoculation drive continues to contribute to the country’s efforts in controlling the pandemic.
