Srinagar, June 5: Despite a slight increase, night temperatures in Jammu and Kashmir continued to remain below normal, according to the meteorological department. The summer capital, Srinagar, recorded a low of 11.3°C, which was 2.1°C below the normal temperature. Similarly, Qazigund, Pahalgam, Kupwara, Kokernag, Gulmarg, and other regions also experienced temperatures below their respective averages.
Meanwhile, the meteorological department predicts mainly dry weather in the region from June 5-12, with a possibility of brief showers and thunderstorms in the evenings. However, there is good news as temperatures are expected to gradually increase, signaling warmer days ahead.
