New Delhi, June 26: According to data from the Union Health Ministry, India recorded a single-day increase of 47 new COVID-19 cases, with the active caseload currently standing at 1,655. As of Monday at 8 am, the death toll reached 5,31,903 (5.31 lakh). The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the country stands at 4,49,93,999 (4.49 crore).
The national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.81 percent, as reported on the health ministry website. The number of individuals who have successfully recovered from the disease has risen to 4,44,60,441 (4.44 crore), while the case fatality rate remains at 1.18 percent.
The nationwide vaccination drive has administered 220.66 crore vaccine doses thus far, as stated on the ministry website.
