J&K, June 27 : Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha emphasizes the message of peace and unity during the festive occasion of Eid. Speaking to reporters after assessing the preparations for Eid-ul-Adha at the Hazratbal shrine, Sinha highlights the significance of love and brotherhood that this festival represents. The arrangements for the festival have been meticulously organized, with discussions held on cleanliness, water supply, and electricity provisions. Sinha expresses his belief that Eid spreads the values of peace and tranquillity. Accompanied by Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Darakshan Andrabi, Sinha reviews the arrangements at the revered Hazratbal shrine to ensure a hassle-free experience for the thousands of devotees who gather there. Andrabi affirms that preparations have been made to ensure a joyous and prosperous Eid celebration. The Waqf Board is actively involved in cleaning mosques and shrines across the Valley, aiming to create an atmosphere of happiness in line with the prevailing peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. Eid-ul-Adha, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice, will be observed in the Union Territory on Thursday.
