New Delhi, July 7 – According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 45 new coronavirus infections, resulting in a slight increase in active cases from 1,452 to 1,455. The data, updated on Friday, also revealed that the death toll has reached 5,31,912, with one death reported each from Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The total number of Covid cases reported in the country stands at 4.49 crore (4,49,94,494).
In more positive news, the national Covid-19 recovery rate is at an encouraging 98.81 percent, as stated on the health ministry website. The number of individuals who have successfully recuperated from the disease has surged to 4,44,61,127. The case fatality rate remains at 1.18 percent.
Furthermore, the nationwide vaccination drive in India has made significant progress, with a total of 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine administered so far, according to the ministry’s website.
