17/July/2023: Jammu and Kashmir Border Area Development Conference (JK_BADC), a registered organization working for the welfare of residents of border areas of J & K has strongly slammed the role of recruitments panels of J & K including Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and J & K Services Selection Board (JKSSB), the border resident’s organization in a statement stated that both these recruitment panels have lost their credibility and trust of the people.
BADC demanded that for restoration of people’s trust and especially of the youth, the government should immediately dissolve these bodies and constitute impartial and autonomous institution that conducts all kinds of exams, test and interviews for government jobs in time bound manner.
Dr Shazad Ahmed Malik, Chairman of the BADC and former VC also criticized the role of JKSSB and said that during the last 3, 4 years this recruitment body has done everything other than completing their original task of conducting exams in a fair and transparent manner. He said that JKSSB does not follow any time line for completing the process of recruitment that are forwarded to it by other departments.
The former VC informed that thousands of posts are lying vacant in different government departments and many of them have already been forwarded by the concerned departments to JKSSB and JKPSC for conducting recruitment but for the reason better known to the people at the helm of these institutions they deliberately take such decisions to create controversy and ultimately the educated youth suffer who then have to either come on roads to seek justice or knock the doors of court and both ways they lose their precious years of youthfulness.
He urged the Government to dissolve these recruitment bodies and hire people with credibility and constitute a fair and impartial recruitment panel to ensure time bound completion of recruitment process for selecting the deserving and competent people.
