Delhi, July 29 : Passengers of Delhi-Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express faced a tense situation as panic spread due to a bomb threat received on the train. The incident took place on Friday night at Haryana’s Sonipat railway station. Prompt action was taken by the authorities as the train was thoroughly inspected following the threat.
According to Northern Railway CPRO Deepak Kumar, the train arrived at Sonipat railway station around 9.35 p.m. and was stationed at platform number 4 when the bomb threat call was received. In response, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) teams, along with the fire brigade and ambulance, swiftly reached the station. Additionally, the bomb squad and sniffer dogs were called in from Rohtak to conduct a thorough search of the train.
After a meticulous inspection, it was confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax call. Subsequently, at 2 a.m., the train was cleared to continue its journey towards its destination.
