New Delhi, Aug 4 : Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the BJP, asserting that India has witnessed a mere addition of 12.2 lakh formal jobs during the past five years under the Modi government. He called for the ouster of the BJP from power, citing their failure in providing employment opportunities to the masses.
Kharge criticized the BJP’s promise of creating two crore jobs annually, which should have resulted in 18 crore jobs over nine years. He expressed concern about the bleak future faced by the youth and attributed the rising anger and violence in the streets to the lack of employment opportunities.
Highlighting the data from EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund), Kharge debunked the government’s narrative linking EPF regular contributors to the creation of formal jobs. He accused the BJP of causing immense unemployment, rising prices, and promoting hate in society, leading to the current disastrous situation.
In his extensive Twitter post, the Congress president urged for the BJP’s removal from power, emphasizing the need to safeguard the interests of the poor and middle-class citizens. The Congress party has consistently criticized the government’s economic policies, alleging their failure in generating sufficient employment opportunities.
