New Delhi, August 7: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar announced on Monday that over the past nine years, the Modi government has made substantial strides in enhancing border infrastructure, including regions adjoining China. In a discussion with a gathering of journalists, Jaishankar emphasized that the bolstering of infrastructure along the Northern border will play a pivotal role in shaping India’s response to national security challenges.
Jaishankar also highlighted India’s efforts to improve connectivity with neighboring countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. He revealed that discussions are ongoing with Bhutan regarding the establishment of a rail link connecting the country with Assam.
