JAMMU, Aug 24: A tragic accident unfolded today in the Dudu area of Udhampur district, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving one individual injured. The incident involved a dumper that plunged into a gorge. Swiftly responding to the distress call, the local police immediately reached the scene and have initiated a rescue operation that is currently in progress.
Dr. Vinod Kumar, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Udhampur, conveyed that the injured person is presently trapped beneath the overturned vehicle. Providing details of the grim occurrence, he stated, “A dumper veered off the road, leading to a fatal fall into a gorge in the Dudu area of Udhampur district. Tragically, three lives have been lost, and one person has sustained injuries. Our dedicated teams, alongside local residents, are actively engaged in the ongoing rescue operations to save the trapped individual.”
