SRINAGAR, Sept 4: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Manoj Pande carried out an inspection of forward areas on Monday to evaluate the operational readiness along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kashmir valley. Defence sources indicated that General Pande’s visit aimed to assess the security situation in the LoC areas within the Kashmir valley. During his visit, General Pande received detailed briefings from on-ground commanders concerning the state of operational readiness and the prevailing security conditions on the LoC in Kashmir. The COAS expressed his appreciation for the effective control measures and operational preparedness observed along the LoC in the Kashmir valley.
