New Delhi, September 9 – On the sidelines of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in discussions with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to explore avenues for strengthening trade connections and enhancing investments. Chancellor Sunak, who had arrived in the city on Friday, engaged in talks with Modi following the inaugural session of the G20 Summit. During their interaction, Sunak greeted Modi with a traditional namaste gesture.
In a post-meeting statement on social media, Modi expressed, “Great to have met PM @RishiSunak on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Delhi. We discussed ways to deepen trade linkages and boost investment.” He also emphasized that India and the UK would continue to collaborate towards a prosperous and sustainable global future.
Prime Minister Modi further held a bilateral meeting with his Japanese counterpart, Fumio Kishida, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit.
