Srinagar, April 15: Kashmir witnessed a rise in night temperature on Friday due to cloudy skies, with wet weather predicted in the coming days. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius, which is 2.4 degrees higher than normal for this time of the year.
The IMD also predicted light rain and snow in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh over the next few days, which could affect air and road traffic in the region.
The recent increase in night temperature has provided some relief to residents who were facing cold weather conditions for the past few days. However, the wet weather forecast has also raised concerns about possible disruptions to daily life and travel.
Authorities have advised people to take necessary precautions and stay updated on the weather conditions in their respective areas.
