Jagdalpur, October 3 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on Tuesday that the vision of a prosperous India can only be realized when states, districts, and villages across the nation experience development.
Addressing a gathering in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, a state heading into elections, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various projects worth Rs 26,000 crore, including the NMDC’s steel plant.
“The dream of a developed Bharat will be realized only when states, districts, and villages in the country develop,” he stated.
PM Modi also highlighted the significant increase in budgetary allocations for railway projects in Chhattisgarh by the central government over the last nine years, amounting to a twenty-fold rise compared to the funding provided before 2014.
Speaking specifically about the NMDC Steel Ltd steel plant in Nagarnar, Bastar district, the Prime Minister underlined that it would generate employment opportunities for approximately 50,000 youths in Bastar and the neighboring regions.
During the event, PM Modi virtually flagged off the Tadoki (Kanker district)-Raipur DEMU train service, further contributing to the region’s connectivity and development.
