Srinagar, October 10: Ravinder Raina, President of the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir, expressed his stance that bloodshed anywhere in the world is detrimental to the well-being of humanity. Raina made these remarks during an interaction with the media in Anantnag district in South Kashmir.
He emphasized the importance of preventing bloodshed globally, highlighting the devastating impact of terrorism, violence, and conflict in Jammu and Kashmir, which has claimed the lives of countless innocent people over the years.
Raina asserted that acts of violence, including bombings and armed conflicts, are adversaries of humanity, and he underscored the need for every individual to contribute to peace, prosperity, and unity.
He pointed out that peace is essential for development in Kashmir, and the absence of peace has led to a tragic loss of life over the past three and a half decades. Raina stressed that war is detrimental to the interests of all nations and populations.
Regarding the protests held in Jammu by political parties such as the National Conference, Congress, and Peoples Democratic Party, Raina expressed skepticism about their motives, suggesting that these demonstrations are driven by personal interests rather than the betterment of the people. He noted that these parties did not stage similar protests when the situation in Kashmir was dire, implying that they are pursuing their own agendas.
Raina affirmed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have shown their support for the BJP, and the party remains committed to serving their interests. He also mentioned that the BJP is strengthening its presence in Ladakh and expects its network to become even more robust in the coming years, despite the recent election results in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, where the BJP secured only two seats.
