New Delhi, Aug 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Tuesday that the opposition’s introduction of a no-confidence motion reflects the underlying lack of trust within the INDIA bloc parties. This move is seen as an attempt to assess the level of support for their proposition, according to sources.
During his address at the BJP parliamentary meeting, PM Modi characterized the opposition alliance as “ghamandia,” meaning characterized by arrogance. He also extended congratulations to the party’s Rajya Sabha members for their “semi-final” victory in the voting on the Delhi services bill.
Sources report that Modi acknowledged how some members of the opposition had likened the Rajya Sabha voting to a “semi-final” match before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In doing so, he displayed confidence in the BJP’s prospects for the upcoming national elections.
