New Delhi, Jul 18 : A customary all-party meeting was scheduled for Wednesday by the government to address various issues concerning the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament, commencing on July 20. During this gathering, senior government ministers will be present as different parties present their concerns and perspectives. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has frequently participated in such meetings in the past. In a parallel development, an all-party meeting called by Rajya Sabha Chairperson Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday had to be postponed due to the unavailability of many party leaders. Meanwhile, opposition parties held their meeting in Bengaluru, and the ruling National Democratic Alliance gathered in the national capital. As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and opposition parties intensify their attacks on each other in preparation for a series of assembly polls this year and the Lok Sabha election next year, the upcoming session is anticipated to be tumultuous. The Congress and other opposition parties plan to question the government on issues related to the Manipur crisis, escalating prices, and alleged misuse of probe agencies. The previous session was marked by frequent opposition protests, setting the stage for another potentially contentious parliamentary gathering.
