Srinagar, April 29: The night temperatures in Jammu and Kashmir have been recorded below normal in recent days as the region experiences erratic weather patterns. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Srinagar has been hovering around 10 degrees Celsius, which is 2 to 3 degrees below normal for this time of year. Other parts of the region have also been experiencing below-normal night temperatures.
The weather in J&K has been fluctuating between hot and cold spells, with occasional rainfall and thunderstorms reported in some areas. The Meteorological Department has warned of further erratic weather in the coming days, including the possibility of hailstorms and lightning in some areas.
The unseasonal weather has caused concern among farmers and orchardists who fear damage to their crops.
