Bhopal, October 17 – Kamal Nath, President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, has presented the party’s manifesto in preparation for the forthcoming state assembly elections. The comprehensive 106-page manifesto outlines an array of commitments, including a substantial Rs 25 lakh health insurance coverage for all Madhya Pradesh residents, a 27% reservation for OBCs, and the establishment of a state IPL team.
The opposition Congress party’s manifesto comprises 59 pledges, aiming to address various segments of society, such as farmers, women, and government employees.
Kamal Nath emphasized, “We will provide a health insurance cover of Rs 25 lakh, inclusive of a Rs 10 lakh accidental cover, to all citizens.” He also announced the formation of an Indian Premier League (IPL) team representing the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Further promises include the waiver of farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh, a monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 for women, affordable LPG cylinders priced at Rs 500, free school education, the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme, and an unemployment allowance ranging from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 per month for two years for the youth.
The state assembly elections, involving 230 seats, are slated for November 17.
