Calls for saturating all left out, especially in far flung & high-risk areas with immunization
DODA, Aug 07: As a part of a nationwide campaign, the Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh Vishesh Mahajan, on Monday launched the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI 5.0) at District Headquarter Doda.
In this connection, a programme was organised in the office of CMO Doda where Deputy Commissioner Doda inaugurated the immunization session camp, in presence of CMO Doda Dr Ab Hamid Zargar, Dy CMO Doda Dr Om Kumar, DIO Doda Dr Versha Sharma, BMO Ghat Dr Ab Gafoor, Ms Priyanka Manhas (VCCM) and other health officers/officials, where left out/ drop out children’s upto 05 years of age were vaccinated.
While giving details about the camp, DC Doda informed that the mission’s major goal is to vaccinate all eligible children, even those who have missed doses and to ensure success of this mission, all appropriate precautions have been stepped in to make the first round of IMI 5.0 a grand success.
DC Doda also said that the District Administration and Health Department have planned well to target every nook and corner of the district, with the aim of expanding immunization coverage to all children across the district.
Further DC Doda also directed the CMO and Dy CMO Doda, to establish a control room to which onspot direction was also given to BMO Ghat to establish the same, so that each and every activity related to IMI 5.0 shall be monitored on daily basis for its 100% achievement. Besides, DC Doda also exhorted upon the officers to focus on the target beneficiaries, including children and unvaccinated partially vaccinated pregnant women.
He also asked the BMOs to monitor the programme personally conduct field visits for random checks and take exemplary action against poor performing officials.
The DC directed for effective coverage of all the left out and drop-out children. He further asked the concerned to give wide publicity to the program by all means of communication and media for better results.
Dy CMO Doda Dr Om Kumar also informed that the camps will be conducted in all 209 health facilities from 7-12 August 2023 in the first round of IMI 5.0 for which 211 sessions have been created along with trained vaccinators.
At Bhaderwah, the programme was launched by ADC Bhaderwah Sh Dilmir Choudhary in presence of BMO Bhaderwah Dr Mohd Ashraf, whereas similar kinds of launching ceremonies were reported to be held at Ghat, Thathri, Gandoh and Assar blocks also.
