Srinagar, September 29: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General, Sujoy Lal Thaosen, conducted an operational visit to Kashmir with the aim of evaluating the readiness of personnel stationed in the region and boosting their morale, according to a spokesperson for the Force.
During the visit, DG Thaosen, accompanied by high-ranking officials, visited the Recruit Training Centre (RTC) in Srinagar, now located in Lethpora Pulwama, as well as a CRPF battalion in south Kashmir. He was joined by Additional Director General (ADG) of Jammu and Kashmir Zone CRPF, Nalin Prabhat; Inspector General (IG) of Kashmir Operations Sector CRPF, Gyanendra Kumar Verma; and IG of Srinagar Sector CRPF, Ajay Yadav.
The primary objective of this visit, as stated by the CRPF spokesperson, was to assess operational readiness and uplift the morale of CRPF personnel stationed in the region. At the RTC, DG Thaosen meticulously inspected the facilities and engaged in meaningful interactions with the trainees. He delivered inspiring and motivating words, reaffirming the CRPF’s commitment to excellence in training and operational preparedness.
Subsequently, the delegation proceeded to the 180th battalion in Tral Pulwama, where the CRPF personnel accorded DG Thaosen a guard of honor. During this visit, he also inaugurated the “Shaheed Mukesh Lal Meena Barrack” as a solemn tribute to the brave heroes who made supreme sacrifices in the line of duty.
In an insightful “Sainik Sammelan,” DG Thaosen applauded the unwavering dedication of CRPF officers and Jawans, commending their steadfast commitment to the nation’s security.
The visit concluded on a warm note as Thaosen joined the personnel for a convivial meal at Badakhana in the 180th Battalion. Such moments of camaraderie reinforce the bonds that define the strength and unity of the CRPF.
DG Thaosen’s visit reaffirmed the CRPF’s unwavering commitment to the security and well-being of the nation, while also providing an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and sacrifices of the CRPF personnel stationed in the region, the spokesperson stated.
