Srinagar, May 17 : According to officials, despite a slight rise in night temperatures, most places in Jammu and Kashmir continued to experience below-normal temperatures on Tuesday. The meteorological department reported that Srinagar recorded a low of 10.7°C, Qazigund had a low of 7.4°C, Pahalgam recorded 3.5°C, Kupwara settled at 7.2°C, Kokernag registered 8.4°C, Gulmarg had 5.8°C, and Jammu recorded 23.2°C. Other regions such as Banihal, Batote, Katra, Bhaderwah, and Leh also experienced varying temperatures. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms in isolated areas over the next 24 hours. Rain and thunderstorms are expected at scattered places from May 17-20, while no significant rainfall is forecasted for the next week.
