New Delhi, Aug 5 : Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit has entered into the war of words between the AAP and the Congress over the ‘mohalla clinics’ in Delhi. He expressed that he could have revealed the “real truth of Arvind Kejriwal’s governance” to Karnataka minister Dinesh Gundu Rao during his visit to Delhi.
The exchange of remarks followed after Dinesh Gundu Rao called the mohalla clinics run by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) “overhyped” and expressed his disappointment after visiting one of these facilities.
Taking to social media, Dikshit tweeted, “Wish you’d met us also Dinesh Gundu Rao – would have shown the real truth of Arvind Kejriwal’s education, health, finance, environment, water, roads, buses, infra, rampant corruption. Perhaps you could have conveyed this to his new drum beaters in Congress.”
Rao’s visit to the ‘Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinic’ at Panchsheel Park, accompanied by Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj and Karnataka Bhavan medical officer Karthik, garnered attention when he initially praised the mohalla clinic initiative but later changed his stance, calling it “overhyped.”
In response, the AAP claimed that Rao received a phone call after praising the initiative, which led to a change in his opinion.
Both the Congress and the AAP are part of the opposition INDIA bloc. The incident adds to the ongoing tensions between the two parties over the functioning and effectiveness of mohalla clinics in Delhi.
