SRINAGAR: Five government hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir have recently introduced the Scan and Share system for OPD registration, marking a significant development in the state’s healthcare sector. Patients visiting these hospitals are required to scan a QR code at the registration desk, which allows the hospital to access their medical history and other relevant information from a central server. This not only speeds up the registration process but also eliminates the need for excessive paperwork. The hospitals where this system has been introduced include Government Medical College Hospital Jammu, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, SMGS Hospital, Chest Disease Hospital, and Super Speciality Hospital. This move is expected to enhance the overall healthcare experience for patients while ensuring efficient and streamlined operations at these hospitals.
