UDHAMPUR: Six people were injured when a footbridge collapsed in Chenani, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. The incident occurred at around 3 PM in the afternoon when the victims were crossing the bridge. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained, and an investigation into the matter has been launched by the local authorities. Eyewitnesses reported that the bridge was in a dilapidated condition, and had been in need of repair for a long time. The incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for infrastructure development and maintenance in the region.
