Jammu, May 23: Priya Sethi, National Executive Member Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former minister has said that children and youth of Jammu and Kashmir has enormous talent and they need to be provided proper platform in order to hone their skills. She said that the holding of the significant international G20 Meet in J&K has provided them exposure of the optimum standard and a peep into the rich cultural heritage of J&K as also unity in diversity. They will also get acquainted with the different cultures across the globe through the representatives of various nations attending this Summit.
The senior BJP leader said this while speaking at the Grand Finale of ‘Ubherte Kalakar’ here today. She was the Chief Guest of this programme organised by M Jackson Institute of Cultural Society. Children belonging to different age groups mesmerized the spectators by their scintillating performances through dance forms of art.
Asserting that the enormous talent possessed by children and youth of this Union Territory needs to be channelized systematically to upgrade it to optimum national and international standards. For this there is a need for adequate number of platforms for these children and youth providing them the opportunities to display their talent before experts who will not only bring out their hidden talent but would also hone and enhance their skills. Moreover these platforms will give them the precious experience of performing before huge audiences and during grand functions.
Priya Sethi complemented the M Jackson Institute for coming forward and providing the children and youth a proper platform and opportunity for getting their talent and skills chiseled under the supervision of expert in the field of performing arts. She said that the expert as well as the institute has already made a name in this field and the youth and children of this Union Territory especially those aspiring to excel in Dance Art have high hopes pinned to them.
Later, the former minister distributed prizes among the participating children and wished them for achieving a great success in the future.
