New Delhi, May 23 : Gold prices in New Delhi experienced a significant drop of Rs 350 to reach Rs 60,170 per 10 grams on Tuesday. The decline was attributed to the global decrease in the value of the precious metal. The previous closing rate for gold was recorded at Rs 60,520 per 10 grams. Additionally, silver also faced a substantial tumble of Rs 660, reaching Rs 72,880 per kilogram. Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst – Commodities at HDFC Securities, stated that spot gold in the Delhi markets traded at Rs 60,170 per 10 grams, reflecting a decrease of Rs 350 per 10 grams. On the international market, gold and silver were quoted at USD 1,957 per ounce and USD 23.32 per ounce, respectively. Asian trading hours also witnessed a decline in gold prices on Tuesday.
