J&K, JUNE 19 : Night temperatures above average observed in most areas of Jammu and Kashmir, except for Jammu and Katra, where rainfall occurred. According to meteorological officials, Jammu city received 18.9mm of rain, Katra received 18.8mm, and Kathua received 48.6mm. Gulmarg received 9.2mm of rainfall, while Pahalgam experienced light traces. The weather forecast predicts hot and humid conditions for the next five days throughout Jammu and Kashmir, with the possibility of scattered showers or thunderstorms in the late afternoon or evening. From June 24-26, there is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at various locations. Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 16.9°C, above normal by 2.1°C. Qazigund and Pahalgam also reported above-normal night temperatures. Kokernag experienced temperatures 3.0°C above normal, while Gulmarg was 1.2°C above normal. Jammu witnessed temperatures 3.8°C below normal. Banihal, Batote, and Bhaderwah recorded above-normal night temperatures, while Leh and Kargil in Ladakh reported respective lows of 8.8°C and 11.2°C.
