Srinagar, October 4: The inaugural group of Agniveers hailing from the Jammu and Kashmir valley officially joined the ranks of the Indian Army this Wednesday.
The Indian Army proudly conducted a passing out parade for this historic first batch of Agniveers at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiments (JAKLI) center in Srinagar on Tuesday.
These enthusiastic young Agniveers were recruited through the Army Recruitment Office (ARO) in Srinagar, and they participated in the passing out parade with great pomp and grandeur.
Notably, the ceremony was graced by the presence of the Agniveers’ parents, adding to the pride and celebration of this significant milestone.
In a statement, the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Army announced, “Passing out Parade for the #First batch of #Agniveers from #Kashmir to become part of Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry Regiments of #IndianArmy was held at JAKLI Regimental Centre, #Srinagar on 03 Oct 2023. The young Agniveers recruited through ARO #Srinagar passed out in a #grand ceremony which was also attended by their proud #Parents.”
