New Delhi, Jul 27 : India has registered 42 fresh COVID-19 infections, leading to a total tally of 4,49,95,434 cases. The number of active cases has marginally reduced from 1,469 to 1,452 compared to the previous day, as per the Union health ministry data updated at 8 am.
The death toll remains unchanged at 5,31,915. On a positive note, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at an encouraging 98.81 per cent, with a significant number of 4,44,61,067 individuals having successfully recuperated from the disease.
The case fatality rate remains at 1.18 per cent. The nationwide vaccination drive continues to make steady progress, with the health ministry’s website reporting the administration of 220.67 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines so far.
