New Delhi, Apr 29 : According to CDS General Anil Chauhan, India has become the third-largest ecosystem for startups worldwide and is expected to overtake the German economy by 2024. He further stated that the Indian startup ecosystem has the potential to create more than 12 million jobs in the next decade, particularly in the fields of technology, healthcare, and education.
General Anil Chauhan emphasized the need for increased investment in research and development, particularly in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and robotics. He also noted that the government’s initiatives, such as Startup India and Digital India, have been instrumental in fostering a supportive environment for startups in the country.
The Indian startup ecosystem has witnessed rapid growth over the past few years, with a surge in the number of unicorns, or startups valued at over $1 billion. India has also become a hub for innovation, with a significant rise in patent applications and funding for research and development.
