Jammu & Kashmir, May 11 : The Anjuman Federation of Industries Jammu, representing small and large industries in the Jammu province, has warmly greeted delegates from 20 countries attending the G20 Summit in Jammu and Kashmir. The federation recognizes this as a significant opportunity for the local industry to tap into the premium market and foster collaborations with international investors.
Chairman Lalit Mahajan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for organizing the G20 summit, which will take place on May 22 and 24, 2023, in Srinagar. He emphasized that this event presents a golden opportunity for Jammu and Kashmir, driven by sincere efforts from Minister of State Dr. Jitender Singh and the increasing number of individuals taking initiative to manufacture their own products.
Since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, Jammu has witnessed significant economic growth, while Kashmir has made remarkable progress over the past four years. This progress, including the extensive industrialization in India in 2021, can be attributed to the government’s package of incentives, which Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah played a crucial role in implementing.
The positive developments have led to an increase in employment opportunities for the local population, and this trend is expected to continue in the near future. With Jammu and Kashmir’s growing industrialization and favorable business environment, the region is poised for further economic expansion and prosperity.
The Federation of Industries Jammu celebrates the strides made and welcomes the arrival of G20 delegates, highlighting the significant potential for economic partnerships and showcasing local products on a global stage. The event serves as a testament to the vision and efforts of the government and sets the stage for continued progress and opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir.
