Srinagar, May 19: According to the Meteorological Department (MeT), Jammu and Kashmir are expected to have mainly clear skies over the next 24 hours. The weather remained dry in the region during the previous day.
While the sky is anticipated to be mainly clear, there is a possibility of a brief spell of rain or thunderstorm in scattered areas later in the afternoon or evening. Farmers are advised to take advantage of the weather conditions between May 19 and 23 for activities such as crop spraying, fertilizer application, and harvesting.
In terms of temperatures, Srinagar recorded a minimum of 9.4 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam registered 2.7 degrees, and Gulmarg experienced 3 degrees. In the Ladakh region, Kargil reported 6.5 degrees, and Leh had 2.6 degrees as the minimum temperature.
Meanwhile, Jammu saw a minimum temperature of 21 degrees, Katra recorded 18.2 degrees, Batote had 12.2 degrees, Banihal experienced 10.1 degrees, and Bhaderwah had 8.4 degrees. (Agencies)
