Srinagar, June 26: In a significant development, the police have apprehended a man identified as Javid Ahmad Dar from Khanpora Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. The arrest was made during a routine checking at Khanpora Bridge.
According to the police, the accused attempted to flee the scene upon spotting the checking party. However, the authorities tactfully managed to apprehend him. Upon searching the suspect, law enforcement recovered 380 counterfeit gold biscuits, collectively weighing 380 grams. The accused was promptly taken into custody.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at the Baramulla Police Station. The investigation has been initiated to uncover further details pertaining to the incident.
