JAMMU, August 18: Highlighting the commendable efforts of the BSF, a senior officer emphasized that their effective measures have resulted in a prolonged absence of detected infiltration incidents along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.
During a tree-planting initiative in the border district of Samba, Inspector General of BSF (Jammu frontier) D K Boora spoke to the press, underlining the primary mission of the force: to prevent terrorist infiltration across the nation’s border. Boora affirmed the constant vigilance of BSF troops and their readiness to counter any potential infiltration endeavors from across the border.
Notably, there has been no reported instance of infiltration along the International Border for a considerable period, a testament to the diligent work of the BSF. Boora remarked, “This record demonstrates the BSF’s effective operations on the border. We will persist in this trajectory and intensify our efforts.”
Boora clarified that the Border Security Force’s focus does not center on the number of terrorists situated across the border. Instead, their primary concern is to prevent infiltration attempts. “Our sole objective is to thwart any attempts at infiltration into our territory,” he stated firmly.
Addressing the challenges posed by border flooding, Boora revealed that the BSF actively prepares for such situations three months in advance of the monsoon season. While floods can cause temporary disruptions lasting several days, the BSF’s preparedness ensures that their operational effectiveness remains unhampered, as Boora reassured.
This ongoing commitment to border security and preparedness underscores the BSF’s dedication to maintaining the integrity of the nation’s borders and preventing unauthorized infiltration.
