JAMMU : The Mega Basoa Baisakhi Mahotsav 2023 was inaugurated by the Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Jammu, Raghav Langer, at the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex on Thursday. The event was organized by the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, and showcased the cultural and traditional heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, the Div Com highlighted the importance of promoting the state’s cultural heritage and traditions. He urged people to participate in such events and make them successful. The event featured various cultural programs, including folk music, dance, and theatre performances, which enthralled the audience.
The Div Com also took a tour of the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and inspected the ongoing renovation work. He emphasized the need to preserve the heritage structures of Jammu and Kashmir and directed the concerned authorities to ensure their timely restoration and upkeep.
The Mega Basoa Baisakhi Mahotsav 2023 is a three-day event and will continue till April 15. The event aims to promote tourism in the state and provide a platform for local artists to showcase their talents.
