JAMMU, Aug 14: The local weather department has predicted primarily hot, humid, and dry conditions for the upcoming days in Jammu and Kashmir, although there remains a possibility of isolated rain showers. According to a meteorological department official, scattered rainfall might occur in certain areas of Jammu & Kashmir late in the afternoon and evening, with the overall chance being relatively low.
As for August 15, the official stated that there could be some early morning showers in certain parts of J&K, but the rest of the day is expected to remain dry. Notably, the forecast for the week indicates no significant rainfall on the horizon.
In terms of temperature, Srinagar experienced a nighttime low of 21.0°C, which was slightly lower than the previous night’s 21.6°C. Despite this difference, the temperature remains 2.7°C above the usual norms for the summer capital. Meanwhile, in the Jammu district, the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.6°C, marking a decrease from the previous night’s 26.1°C. This temperature was 1.4°C below the seasonal norm for the winter capital, as noted by the official.
