SRINAGAR, Apr 10: Night temperatures have risen slightly in Jammu and Kashmir, but they continue to remain below normal for this time of the year, according to the Meteorological Department.
The department said that the minimum temperature in Srinagar on Saturday was 7.2 degrees Celsius, which is 2.3 degrees below normal. Similarly, the minimum temperature in Jammu was 17.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.6 degrees below normal.
Despite the rise in night temperatures, the weather in the region remains dry and cold, with the possibility of foggy conditions in the mornings.
The department has predicted that the weather is likely to remain dry over the next few days, with the possibility of light rain or snow in some parts of the higher reaches of the state.
Meanwhile, the administration has advised people to take precautions against the cold weather and to ensure that they have adequate heating arrangements in their homes.
