Jammu, June 17: The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has recently announced the commencement of online helicopter bookings for pilgrims embarking on the revered Amarnath Yatra, set to commence from July 1. Spanning a period of 62 days, the pilgrimage is scheduled to conclude on August 30, coinciding with Rakshabandhan.
According to official sources, the online booking facility is now open for helicopter services operating through the Srinagar, Baltal, and Pahalgam routes. It has been reported that this year’s fares remain unchanged, ensuring affordability for devotees.
As of now, over 250,000 individuals have registered online for the yatra, with an estimated five lakh devotees expected to visit the sacred cave shrine this year. The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has designated its official website as the platform for helicopter ticket bookings.
The Baltal route will be served by the Global Vectra Helicorp Limited and Arrow Aircraft Private Limited, while the Pahalgam route will be facilitated by Heritage Aviation Pvt Ltd. Additionally, M S Pawan Hans Limited will operate helicopter services from Srinagar to the holy cave, as confirmed by official sources.
Preparations to welcome pilgrims are currently underway, and district administrations have been instructed to ensure all arrangements are completed between Lakhanpur and Kashmir by June 20, providing a smooth and well-organized experience for all participants.
