Jammu, May 2 : On Monday, an explosion occurred at a petrol pump in Jammu’s Narwal area, caused by a short circuit in its underground power board. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. According to officials, the short circuit may have been triggered by rainwater leaking into the power board. The blast damaged a portion of the petrol pump’s floor and a nearby structure that housed a bank’s front office. Initial investigations by Sub Divisional Police Officer, Zaheer Abbas Jafri, suggest that the explosion was caused by a short circuit, and ruled out any foul play. The site will be inspected by experts to determine the extent of the damage caused. At the time of the incident, there were no customers at the petrol pump, as reported by its employees.
