The International Day of Yoga was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Since then, yoga has gained tremendous popularity worldwide due to its ability to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and overall fitness.
Under the theme “Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One World-One Family,” this year’s Yoga Day aims to highlight the inclusive nature of yoga, bringing people together for the betterment of all.
