New Delhi, Jul 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a sharp retort to the opposition alliance ‘INDIA,’ using references to historically reviled entities like the East India Company and the Popular Front of India to emphasize that the mere use of the country’s name cannot mislead the people.
During his address to the BJP parliamentary party, PM Modi reportedly stated that the opposition’s behavior reflects frustration and disappointment, and it seems they have resolved to remain in the opposition. Nevertheless, he expressed confidence that the BJP will secure victory in the 2024 elections with the support of the people. Furthermore, he affirmed his government’s commitment to elevate India to the status of the third-largest economy during the next tenure.
Responding to the opposition’s rallying around the name ‘INDIA,’ PM Modi countered their efforts, stating that it is merely an attempt to deceive the public. He illustrated his point by mentioning various organizations with ‘India’ in their names, highlighting that such nomenclature does not change the essence of their ideologies or actions.
