New Delhi, May 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the National Rozgar Mela on Tuesday, emphasizing the government’s efforts to enhance employment opportunities in the country. He stated that every policy implemented in the past nine years has served as a pathway to generate employment for the youth.
During the virtual event, PM Modi distributed appointment letters to 71,000 new recruits and highlighted the government’s focus on fast-tracking and streamlining the recruitment process to make it more transparent and fair.
The Prime Minister applauded the schemes and policies of the government, noting that they have created new employment opportunities for the youth. He also emphasized the significant growth in the startup culture, with the number of startups in the country increasing from around 100 to approximately 1 lakh in the last nine years.
PM Modi further highlighted the expansion of rural road networks and the growth of air travel infrastructure in the country since 2014. He also mentioned the positive outlook for the logistics and supply chain sector, with companies like Walmart and Cisco expressing their plans for significant exports and investments in India.
The Prime Minister expressed his enthusiasm for the speed and scale at which India is progressing, marking it as unprecedented in the 75 years of independence.
He concluded by congratulating the candidates and their families on receiving the appointment letters and reiterated the government’s commitment to generating employment opportunities through its various schemes and policies. (Agencies)
