Srinagar, Sep 11 : On Monday, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir detected an object resembling an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Pattan area, resulting in a temporary suspension of traffic on the Srinagar-Baramulla national highway, according to officials. The suspected IED, which was found in a bag, was discovered by the forces in the early hours at Hanjiveera along the national highway. As a precautionary measure, highway traffic was halted, and a bomb disposal squad was called in to safely neutralize the suspected IED. Officials reported that the bomb disposal team successfully relocated the suspicious object to nearby fields and conducted a controlled explosion, which did not result in any damage.
