Hyderabad, Jun 17: President Droupadi Murmu emphasized that the Indian Air Force (IAF) is actively taking measures to remain ever ready and future-ready, considering the evolving security scenario and the challenges associated with modern warfare in a network-centric battle space. Speaking at the Combined Graduation Parade held at the Air Force Academy near Hyderabad, she highlighted the importance of swiftly adopting technological advancements to ensure defense preparedness across land, sea, and air domains.
President Murmu acknowledged the collective responsibility of the country’s defense forces in safeguarding the nation’s land frontiers, extensive coastline, territorial waters, and vast airspace. She stressed the need for every officer in the armed forces to maintain an integrated perspective of defense preparedness.
Regarding the modernization efforts within the Indian Air Force, President Murmu expressed her opinion that the induction of Rafale fighter aircraft and Chinook heavy lift choppers has significantly bolstered the operational capabilities of the IAF.
