New Delhi, October 4: During his visit to the two states heading into elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to unveil a series of development projects worth Rs 12,600 crore in Madhya Pradesh and Rs 5,000 crore in Rajasthan.
In Jodhpur, Rajasthan, the Prime Minister’s Office disclosed that Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate numerous development initiatives spanning road infrastructure, railways, aviation, healthcare, and higher education.
Meanwhile, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, he will inaugurate projects in sectors such as road development, railways, gas pipelines, housing, and clean drinking water.
Noteworthy among the healthcare projects in Rajasthan is the foundation stone laying for a 350-bed trauma center and critical care hospital block at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur. Additionally, seven critical care blocks, part of the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), will be developed across the state. The AIIMS facility will cost over Rs 350 crore, providing comprehensive care to trauma and emergency patients, while the critical care blocks aim to bolster district-level infrastructure.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will initiate the construction of a state-of-the-art terminal building at Jodhpur airport, amounting to Rs 480 crore, and dedicate the IIT Jodhpur campus to the nation. The IIT campus, built at a cost exceeding Rs 1,135 crore, signifies a commitment to delivering high-quality holistic education and supporting cutting-edge research and innovation.
Other key projects include the foundation laying of multiple road development endeavors at a combined cost of about Rs 1,475 crore and the launch of two new train services within the state. Modi will also inaugurate a light house project in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, with an estimated cost of Rs 128 crore, benefiting over 1,000 families as part of the “housing for all” vision.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for several Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Mandla, Jabalpur, and Dindori districts, amounting to over Rs 2,350 crore, and inaugurate a drinking water project in Seoni district under the same scheme. These projects across four districts are set to benefit around 1,575 villages in Madhya Pradesh.
As part of his visit, Modi will also lay the foundation stone and dedicate multiple projects worth more than Rs 4,800 crore, aimed at enhancing the state’s road infrastructure. Furthermore, rail projects worth more than Rs 1,850 crore and the 352 km-long Vijaipur-Auraiyan-Phulpur pipeline project, costing more than Rs 1,750 crore, will be dedicated to the nation, among several other development initiatives.
