New Delhi, Apr 29: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the Jantar Mantar in Delhi to extend support to the protesting wrestlers who are demanding the removal of Brij Bhushan, the chief of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). The wrestlers have accused Bhushan of being involved in corruption and favouritism in the selection of players for international events. Priyanka Gandhi interacted with the wrestlers and listened to their grievances. She demanded the immediate removal of Brij Bhushan from the post of WFI chief, citing his alleged involvement in corrupt practices. The wrestlers have been protesting for several days now, and their demand for a fair selection process has gained support from various quarters. The WFI, on the other hand, has denied all allegations of corruption and has stated that the selection process is fair and transparent. The matter is yet to be resolved, and the wrestlers have threatened to intensify their protests if their demands are not met soon.
